Hi Dan – i use 000webhost which uses CPanel & FTP and prefer GoDaddy for domain names as cheap
for ALL my domains….but HostGator is definitely a top level webhost and would feature in my top 3 picks…great affiliate program too

000Webhost are bad mate. They will ban your account once you start getting close to 250mb storage like they did to me. I dont mind hostgator there just a bit expesnive and you dont have that much space

A good starting server is NetworkActiv (free and easy). If you want more umph, go for Apache (free but difficult). Apache will make you growl like Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor on steroids! Domain names are free as well. I wish I could say who I use but, I don’t want to sound like a commercial. Good luck everyone!
